Robert Hampson

Robert Hampson is the organizer of the Luther Tour. He is a vicar in South Woodford in East London. Born in 1958 in Upminster, Essex, he attended local schools before studying Economics and Government at the London School of Economics, where he graduated in 1980. He trained to be a priest in the Church of England at Ridley College, Cambridge and was ordained in 1997. To relax he rides horses and binds books.
He has had a long attachment with Heythrop College, a Catholic College in the University of London, where he studied Bible Studies and Philosophy of Religion. He has taught Philosophy at the Thurrock Adult Education Centre, Grays, Essex, and is visiting tutor in Kierkegaard studies at Heythrop. At present he is convening an MA course in Finance and Religious Ethics hopefully to start in October 2010. The Luther Tour has developed out of the old boy and girl network at Heythrop College.
