Luther Tour Organisers
Robert Hampson is the main organizer of the Luther Tour. He is a vicar in South Woodford in East London. Born in 1958 in Upminster, Essex, he attended local schools before studying Economics and Government at the London School of Economics, where he graduated in 1980. He trained to be a priest in the Church of England at Ridley College, Cambridge and was ordained in 1997. To relax he rides horses and paints.
He has had a long attachment with Heythrop College, a Catholic College in the University of London, where he studied Bible Studies and Philosophy of Religion. He has taught Philosophy at the Thurrock Adult Education Centre, Grays, Essex, and was also visiting tutor in Kierkegaard studies at Heythrop until 2005. This study tour has developed out of the old boy and girl network at Heythrop College.
The talks offered trace the development of Luther’s life and work, and there will be opportunity for discussion.
